We hadn't really thought about having an arborist come out to our house to look at our trees' health until a 25 foot branch cracked off of a tree in the front of our house almost killing a neighbor.

The tree was on the parkway and the village had sent someone out to check the overall status of the tree. We thought everything was good and it was simply a fluke.

Then, a second 20 - something foot tree branch fell and we thought it was time we take matters into our own hands. We hired an arborist to come out and survey all of our trees. Tree care is an investment but it sure does give you peace of mind when you know you don't have a wonky branch waiting for the next wind storm to come crashing into your house or worse... hit a neighbor!

Arborists check the individual health of all of the trees on your property and identify which trees need trimming, which (if any) trees need to be wired or removed. Should any work need to be done on your trees an arborist is the right guy (or girl) for the job. They have the proper equipment, know exactly what they are doing, and are trained at keeping your trees happy + healthy.

If you live in an area where you have a lot of mature trees it may be important to get on a yearly schedule to check the health and wellbeing of your trees; however, for many, a yearly fertilizer is all your trees should need.

So heed our advice and cheers to the health of your trees!
