The holidays are one of our busiest times of year when it comes to events. So many people are throwing holiday parties, each town has their own holiday celebration, and we like to squeeze in a holiday party of our own!
This year we are going to host a cocktail party before the New Year, where people can come for pre-drinks before going out to ring in 2019. There are some easy go-to's that we always rely on when hosting our own parties, and we wanted to share them with you!
1. MAKE A CHEESE BOARD
Cheese boards are always a good idea! Laura and I enjoyed a cheese board during the first time we hung out (we'll share the story with you, if you are ever interested ☺️) They are fun to make, and allow for so much variety. We rely on three places to get our cheese and crackers from; Trader Joe's, Standard Market, and Whole Foods.
2. KEEP THE DECOR SIMPLE
Fresh flowers, and candles are always a win! We like to pick up fresh flower arrangements for our tablescape, kitchen island, and bathrooms. Candles set a comfort and are welcoming to all our guests.
3. MAKE A SIGNATURE COCKTAIL
Everyone loves a cocktail, and what better idea than to make a signature cocktail for your event!
With these few simple tips, a great party really can be as easy as 1. 2. 3. !
